Qualifying Exam

The qualifying exam aims at evaluating the maturity of the student in his/her research field.

The student has to apply for the qualifying exam within 60% of the deadline for the thesis submission defined by CCP or CPG (coordinating committees). The exam must be completed within 120 days after the application.

To be approved, the student has to considered qualified by the majority of the members in the examining committee.

Students who failed in this exam have a last chance to take it again within 180 days from the date of the first exam.

The examining committee has to be approved by the CCP and should be constituted by three members holding PhD degree at least and an academic background in accordance with the guidelines provided by the CCP.
